Gold Coast City Daily Photo

Gold Coast City is the last city before the State of New South Wales. The Gold Coast has spectacular beaches and is a major tourist destination.

I was trying to get a close up of the bees in this dense grouping of flowers when this sundial appeared before me and I love how it looks with all the flowers around.

This was taken at the Mt. Tamborine botanical gardens.

Every day I try to take one of the pics from around the world as my background and this is today's winner. Thank you so much.

As strange as it sounds, I suddenly have a spontaneous desire to own a sundial. They're so informative, yet so mysterious in form... !

From Gold Coast Daily photo - Yes, this is Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia Mill.) This plant is in the mint family and has it origins in the Western Mediterranean.

France is the only Mediterranean country where lavender is grown commercially for extraction of lavender oil used in perfumery.
